25 Years of Moving What Matters

From a single Hamburg office to a global network spanning 50 countries — precision, reliability, and trust have been our only compass.

Our Story

From a Single Route
to Every Continent

Meridax began in 1999 with three employees, a leased warehouse in Hamburg's Speicherstadt district, and an unwavering belief that logistics could be both faster and more humane.

Our founders — veterans of European rail and ocean freight — identified a gap: businesses were choosing between speed and transparency, never both. Meridax was built to eliminate that trade-off. Through disciplined investment in technology, people, and carrier relationships, we scaled from a regional road freight operator to a full-service global logistics provider.

Today, our teams in 18 offices across Europe, Asia, and the Americas manage over 12,000 active shipments daily — each tracked in real time, each assigned a dedicated account manager, and each handled with the same obsessive care we applied to our very first delivery.

What We Stand For

The Principles That
Guide Every Decision

These values are not slogans. They are enforced through hiring decisions, operational standards, and the way we treat every partner and client.

Reliability

Commitments are kept. Schedules are honoured. When exceptions arise, we communicate proactively — never making the client chase us for updates.

Precision

Details matter in logistics. We plan routes down to the hour, verify documentation twice, and treat every shipment as if it were the only one in our system.

Transparency

No hidden fees. No vague answers. Full visibility into pricing, routing decisions, and cargo status — accessible in real time through our client portal.

Integrity

We do not overpromise to win a contract. We set realistic expectations, stand behind our service standards, and maintain honest relationships at every level.

Innovation

We invest over 8% of annual revenue into technology and process improvement. Staying ahead of disruption means our clients are never caught off guard by shifts in global trade.

Sustainability

We measure the carbon impact of every lane we operate and actively reduce it. Responsible logistics is not optional — it is how the industry earns its future.

Questions We Hear Most

Contact Us

Meridax operates across all four primary freight modes: road, air, sea, and rail. For most international shipments, we combine modes to optimise for time, cost, and carbon impact. Our multi-modal capability means you receive a single invoice, a single point of contact, and real-time tracking regardless of how many modes your cargo moves through.

Submit your shipment details through our contact form or call our freight desk directly. We return a fully itemised quote within two business hours for standard lanes, and within four hours for complex or oversized freight. Quotes include all known surcharges — no hidden fees added at invoicing.

All active shipments are visible through the Meridax client portal, updated every 15 minutes via GPS and carrier data feeds. You can share tracking links with your own customers, configure automated milestone alerts via email or SMS, and access a full event log from pickup to delivery. API integration is available for TMS-connected accounts.

Yes. We have in-house customs brokerage in 30+ markets and can manage the full documentation lifecycle — commercial invoices, bills of lading, certificates of origin, EUR.1, phytosanitary certificates, and more. Clients with recurring cross-border lanes can opt into our pre-clearance programme, which eliminates border delays on established routes.

Meridax is ISO 9001:2015 certified for quality management across all operations. We hold GDP certification for temperature-controlled pharmaceutical logistics, IATA membership for international air cargo, and AEO (Authorised Economic Operator) status in the EU and UK, which accelerates customs clearance across European lanes.

All shipments are automatically covered by our all-risk cargo insurance up to EUR 250,000 per consignment at no additional charge. Coverage extends from pickup to delivery, including loading, transit, and unloading. For high-value or sensitive cargo, we arrange bespoke cover with approved underwriters — simply declare the value at booking and we handle the rest.
